QCI is developing the first quantum computer (the chip, the software and the programming interface). The goal is to be the Intel, IBM and Microsoft of a second wave of the information age. Quantum computers will be millions of times faster than silicon chip based computers of today. Founder Robert Schoelkopf has been running the Yale Quantum Institute and teaching at Yale for two decades and has won many of the field’s top awards. Fitz Gate led QCI’s first fundraising round and was directly responsible for bringing in Sequoia, Canaan and Tribeca for an $18mm Series A round only 7 months later.
